BECAUSE HE LIVES!

When the Gaithers, Bill and Gloria began their family, it was the turbulent sixties. The country was being torn apart by Vietnam, scandals, civil rights and young people were dropping out. In 1969 they had two children and Gloria was pregnant again. How could they bring a child into such a world of pain? While pondering what the child's life would be like in the next 16 years Bill wrote this song,"

How sweet to hold a new born baby and feel the pride and joy he gives, but greater still the calm assurance this child can face uncertain days because He lives." The healthy baby boy was named Benjamin which means," Most beloved son", God used a baby to give us one of our greatest loved hymns. These were School Teachers who felt the call of God on their life to bless the church with worship and praise. We can face tomorrow BECAUSE HE LIVES! Br. Larry
